After 100+ episodes, with each one between 15 and 30 minutes long (on average), we’ve had our fair share of bloopers. Tune in to hear the moments we messed up, the times we couldn’t stop laughing, and how many times Rebecca asked Stephen if he was still recording (spoiler alert: it happens a lot).
We could all use a little laughter during the festive season. Join us to get a glimpse of all the fun we have behind the scenes and how we react when things go hilariously wrong.

Sales rank is easily the most misunderstood aspect of selling on Amazon. What is a good sales rank? What does a sales rank of zero mean? What do I do with sales rank for sub-categories? Why does sales rank have to be so confusing so much of the time?

[INTRODUCTION]
[0:00:01.8] ANNOUNCER: Welcome to The Full-Time FBA Show. In each episode, it’s our goal to help you turn part-time hours into a full-time income, selling almost anything on Amazon. Now, your hosts of the show, Stephen and Rebecca Smotherman.
[WELCOME]
[0:00:21.3] STEPHEN: Welcome to episode number 116 of The Full-Time FBA Show. This is our first ever blooper show after over a hundred episodes, we’ve got some bloopers that we’ve compiled and saved and we’re going to share some of these bloopers with you. I mean, it’s the week between Christmas and New Year’s and I’m not going to be heavy on instructional stuff but we’ve got bloopers and here to talk with me about the bloopers and to do some blooping is my wife, Rebecca. What’s up, Rebecca?
[0:00:47.8] REBECCA: I’m not sure how I feel about this episode in general. I just want to get that out there.
[0:00:52.5] STEPHEN: Yes, I’ve heard the bloopers, so I haven’t even played them for her yet.
[0:00:55.7] REBECCA: No, he has not. I was there for them so yeah, I’ll let you know later on how I come down on this, how I feel about it in the end.
[0:01:06.3] STEPHEN: Yeah, we’ll have some fun and we’ll do that on today’s episode of The Full-Time FBA Show. All right, over a hundred episodes and each episode is somewhere between 15 and 30 minutes long on average and we’re going to bound to fumble over our words and make some mistakes and even experience some silliness and we’ve caught a lot of it on tape.
We’re going to jump into the bloopers, we’ve got three sections of bloopers, these first bloopers are just sound check bloopers because sometimes the funniest things happen when we’re just checking our sound and we thought we’d let you in on some of the things that have gone on just when we’re checking our sound so let’s roll those first bloopers.
[0:01:47.9] STEPHEN: All right, one last volume test before we get started and I am so excited for this.
[0:01:52.9] REBECCA: Last volume test, this is excited.
[0:01:57.5] STEPHEN: All right. Check one, check two, check the sound on this, how are you doing over there?
[0:02:04.9] REBECCA: I’m dying.
[0:02:05.7] STEPHEN: Are you really?
[0:02:07.4] REBECCA: Maybe.
[0:02:08.2] STEPHEN: Okay, how’s your smother bun?
[0:02:11.4] REBECCA: It’s very good, it’s messy, it’s a messy smother bun.
[0:02:13.7] STEPHEN: Is it a sticky smother bun?
[0:02:15.3] REBECCA: It’s not sticky, it’s messy. Messy smother buns are in style.
[0:02:20.3] STEPHEN: Okay.
[0:02:20.1] REBECCA: Sticky is you just need to wash your hair.
[0:02:23.1] STEPHEN: Is messy the one’s in style?
[0:02:25.5] REBECCA: A messy bun is a thing, yes, messy bun is a style.
[0:02:29.9] STEPHEN: I had no idea.
[0:02:31.2] REBECCA: Oh my gosh, where have you been?
[0:02:32.6] STEPHEN: I don’t know, I feel like the messy hair, it takes me 30 minutes to make it look like it’s messy on purpose.
[0:02:38.3] REBECCA: No, messy bun that’s just thrown up on your head is like – but not throw up.
[0:02:43.8] STEPHEN: That’s a little too messy.
[0:02:45.3] REBECCA: Okay, let’s –
[0:02:45.8] STEPHEN: Let’s check our sound now, okay.
[0:02:47.6] REBECCA: Is this recording?
[0:02:48.5] STEPHEN: It was recording so we can check our sound. Now we can go back and check our sound. The red light is on for sound checkity-check-check.
[0:02:56.0] REBECCA: Check, check, tofu.
[0:02:58.7] STEPHEN: Tofu?
[0:02:59.6] REBECCA: I’m eating tofu.
[0:03:00.6] STEPHEN: That’s your snack?
[0:03:03.9] REBECCA: I thought you heard that before.
[0:03:04.6] STEPHEN: That’s tofu-rrific. Tofu, tofu-rrific? Terrific?
[0:03:09.5] REBECCA: Tofu-licious?
[0:03:10.5] STEPHEN: Tofu-licious.
[0:03:12.0] REBECCA: Are you still recording?
[0:03:16.1] STEPHEN: We can test this out right now with your latter voice.
[0:03:22.2] REBECCA: Did you get my coffee slurping?
[0:03:23.6] STEPHEN: I did.
[0:03:25.1] REBECCA: Am I talking loud enough? Can you hear me?
[0:03:29.0] STEPHEN: Wow, yes. Are you sure that’s coffee in there? Maybe that’s something else, a little more powerful? And it’s a decaf so I can’t even blame it on the caffeine. You don’t talk loud anymore.
[0:03:43.6] REBECCA: Oh, well, this is silly talking to you. Are we recording this?
[0:03:46.8] STEPHEN: Yes, we are. Yes, okay.
All right, we’re doing the sound check here on The Full-Time FBA Show.
[0:03:53.5] REBECCA: Sound, check. 2020 sucks and it toots.
[0:04:01.1] STEPHEN: And it toots. Okay.
Actually, let’s just start with a sound check, a good old fashioned.
[0:04:08.6] REBECCA: Sound check.
[0:04:09.0] STEPHEN: Sound check.
[0:04:09.9] REBECCA: I really love my coffee.
[0:04:11.8] STEPHEN: I think your coffee loves you too.
[0:04:14.0] REBECCA: Do I talk about coffee in the sound check a lot?
[0:04:16.9] STEPHEN: Usually. I mean, we get coffee before sound checks so.
[0:04:20.6] REBECCA: Here’s my coffee, can you hear it?
[0:04:26.7] STEPHEN: All right, we are doing a sound check to check the sound.
[0:04:30.0] REBECCA: Sound check. How does my sound, sound?
[0:04:34.3] STEPHEN: I’ll check.
All right, we’re doing a sound check today and checking our sound at the volume that I speak at. How about you, Rebecca?
[0:04:45.8] REBECCA: Is this the volume that I speak at?
[0:04:47.2] STEPHEN: I think you speak a little louder.
[0:04:48.6] REBECCA: Really?
[0:04:49.2] STEPHEN: Maybe.
[0:04:50.1] REBECCA: I don’t think I do, I think this is the volume I speak at.
[0:04:52.7] STEPHEN: Okay, that sounds good and yeah, all right, we’ll just check it and see.
[0:04:58.1] REBECCA: Okay.
Okay, I don’t know how to respond to that. I don’t remember any of those. Okay.
[0:05:09.4] STEPHEN: Yeah, my favorite part is the times when you’re like, are you still recording this?
[0:05:12.6] REBECCA: I was going to say, I feel like I should just at all times things when I’m talking into the microphone that it’s being recorded.
[0:05:20.5] STEPHEN: It’s always a hot mic. That’s a good lesson for anyone on the microphone, always a hot mic. Yeah, sorry. Those are some of our sound check bloopers. The most often times when we actually have some bloopers are when we are doing an introduction, so when we are introducting, introducting? I’m going to leave that in there. When we are introducing the show, there’s bound to be some mishaps. Here’s some introduction of the show bloopers for you.
[0:05:45.4] STEPHEN: The red light is on, I’ll get us started. Welcome to episode numbers –
[0:05:53.6] REBECCA: Wow
[0:05:55.0] STEPHEN: Number what?
[0:05:55.8] REBECCA: What!
[0:05:56.3] STEPHEN: All right, let’s do this again. Welcome to episode, did I say that right?
[0:06:03.6] REBECCA: Epicenter?
[0:06:04.8] STEPHEN: Welcome to the epicenter.
[0:06:06.7] REBECCA: Welcome to the epidural.
[0:06:10.2] STEPHEN: No. Welcome to episodes number 68 of The Full-Time FBA show. Yeah, we’re keeping that. We’re keeping that in.
[0:06:17.1] REBECCA: No.
[0:06:19.4] STEPHEN: That would be awesome.
[0:06:19.6] REBECCA: No.
[0:06:19.9] STEPHEN: Today’s show we – okay.
[0:06:23.6] REBECCA: Stephen, delete.
[0:06:28.3] STEPHEN: Okay. Welcome to episode number 75 of The Full-Time FBA show and I don’t know if you know this or not but we are three quarters of the way through 100 episode, that’s just one stat that is we’re going to talk about today. No, we’re just not – never mind, okay. We’re going to talk about stats today and Amazon stats that will blow your mind.
[0:06:49.7] REBECCA: Are we still recording?
[0:06:51.3] STEPHEN: Yes, we’re still recording.
[0:06:52.0] REBECCA: No, start over.
[0:06:54.0] STEPHEN: Okay.
Welcome to the Full-Time FBA show where it’s our goal to sell you, sell you all of our courses. No, okay.
Those are some of our introductory bloopers and if you can’t tell, we say the red light is on as if we have an actual red light like you know, fancy recording studios where the red light is on so you need to be quiet and that’s why we talk about having the red lights.
[0:07:22.4] REBECCA: We don’t actually have a red light.
[0:07:23.9] STEPHEN: No but if you want us to get us one, just let us know. All right, those are the introductory bloopers, we’re going to finish up the show today with some of the content bloopers. We’re talking in the middle of saying something important and life changing for your Amazon business and yeah, we get our tongue tied or whatever, so here’s some other bloopers for your enjoyment.
999,000 times out of 10,000 they’re just returning their item, they’re not trying to teach you.
[0:07:52.7] REBECCA: 999,000 times from 10,000?
[0:07:55.2] STEPHEN: Okay.
[0:07:56.2] REBECCA: More times than.
[0:07:57.8] STEPHEN: More times than mine.
Should I leave that in?
[0:08:05.1] REBECCA: No, please don’t. Sounds like I got some lung condition. It’s just allergies. Claritin is not the same as l.
[0:08:18.3] STEPHEN: Let’s just jump right into the questions today. Rebecca, let me know what – what is the first question?
[0:08:28.7] REBECCA: Do you have the wrong paper?
[0:08:33.4] STEPHEN: All right, let’s just jump right into the questions we have today. Rebecca, how – what the heck? It’s like right in front of me.
[0:08:41.6] REBECCA: How many times are we going to do this? Oh.
[0:08:45.3] STEPHEN: A third strategy that we use to help avoid burning out is when you are coughing. Excuse me.
[0:08:57.5] REBECCA: Let’s just do the whole podcast without recording it.
[0:08:59.9] STEPHEN: I think that’s ill advised.
All right, the red light is on and –
[0:09:03.8] REBECCA: Did you just use the word ill-advised?
[0:09:05.8] STEPHEN: I did.
[0:09:07.8] REBECCA: That’s a first.
[0:09:07.1] STEPHEN: It was the word on my day on the calendar, I don’t have a word of the day calendar.
[0:09:10.7] REBECCA: You have a pun of the day calendar.
[0:09:12.4] STEPHEN: I do, today’s pun is I tried to date a tennis player once but love meant nothing to her.
[0:09:18.7] REBECCA: Okay, should we –
[0:09:19.2] STEPHEN: Yes, let’s keep going.
[0:09:21.2] REBECCA: I mean did you record all of that?
[0:09:23.0] STEPHEN: I did.
[0:09:23.4] REBECCA: My point is, should we delete all that?
[0:09:25.9] STEPHEN: Should we? Okay, let’s do that.
[0:09:32.3] REBECCA: As you can tell dear listener, he did not delete all of that. This is what we deal with here.
[0:09:40.1] STEPHEN: Yeah, basically, if something sounds fun or whatever. I save it for a rainy day and then kind of go through it after a while to kind of pick the good ones so I don’t know if this is your cup of tea or not but hopefully it was something to put a smile on our face, something silly this week in between Christmas and New Year and maybe we’ll do this again in two years when we’re after – you know, have over 200 episodes or maybe three years. Who knows? That’s when that would be.
